Ryan's Life Changing Story with Explore Sri Lanka 7.0

At the first time I saw the country named Sri Lanka, I felt there was a strong will in my heart that I should go there some time. After selecting the programs and sending my applications, I can felt how excited I was. At the time I knew I was accepted by Explore Lanka 7.0, I almost got crazy, because I thought I was so lucky that I could have the chance of going through Sri Lanka with another 20 interns from different areas, which is really amazing!

When I came to Sri Lanka, there was an AIESECer called Praveean coming to receive me and so can I felt reassuring. Besides that, I can tell how well the program organized from other daily details, such as there always a native AIESECer explaining our confusion, helping with our request. I really appreciate all the AIESECers from Explore Lanka 7.0!

As for the members from the program, I can only have one word to describe them —— outstanding, for their highly responsibility, solidarity and creativity. I can always learn a lot from them: if I don’t know how to deal with some matters, I have the opportunity to have a look how can other people manage; if I wonder other countries’ culture, I can have a communication with the interns. Living with them, not only I gain some knowledge, but I come some new, creative ideas, which inspire me a lot.

About my experience in Sri Lanka, I feel amazing! Natives always very friendly and zealous, and I consider their enthusiasm hotter than the weather! What’s more, I spent lots of my “first time” here: the first time greeted by so many foreigners, the first time climbing a tree, the first time touch turtles, the first time taking part in Global Village in such a big square and encountering so many friends from the whole world…… I can fit in the wet and hot weather as well as I like the native foods for they are spicy, similar to these in my hometown.

In conclusion, I enjoy everything in Sri Lanka, I like my life here.
